Responsibilities:- Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly clients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents.
- Remind clients to take prescribed medication.
- Help with mobility
- Plan and prepare meals
- Assist clients with errands including outings, grocery shopping, etc.
- Perform light housekeeping duties
- Report any changes in condition/ Advocate for clients
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
- Encourage activities/exercises that are essential for daily living
- Provide safety supervision
- High school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate
- 18 Years or Older
- Six months experience as aHome Health Aide (HHA) and/or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in health care (in homes or facilities)
- Meets the requirements for employees providing direct patient care
- Read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
- Have a valid driver’s license and use of an insured automobile for work or access to adequate transportation
