As an Interim or Traveling Imaging Director, you will embark on an exciting journey, managing the operations of imaging departments across the country for the diagnosis and treatment of patients’ medical conditions. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring accurate and high-quality imaging services are provided as efficiently as possible.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate technical and administrative activities and personnel of the Imaging Department across all imaging modalities
  • Act as a liaison between the physicians, patients, staff, radiologists, and other professional health care staff
  • Work with the Imaging Managers, Administration and Medical Staff to develop strategic plans for providing quality care and cost-effective services aligned with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Recommend and evaluate processes to improve systems and patient care results across the continuum of care
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the departmental charge master; ensure accuracy of charge master associated with imaging procedures to appropriately charge for services
  • Demonstrate knowledge of appropriate computer software programs & systems (HIS, RIS, PACS, etc.) and can appropriately use the system(s)
  • Ensure department is in compliance with regulatory agencies and state health department and correspond with state and national public health departments as appropriate
  • Maintain confidential information acquired concerning personal, financial and medical information on personnel and patients
  • Provide leadership through coaching and counsel, performance monitoring and constructive feedback, and create a positive work environment by regularly engaging in activities that promote employee engagement
  • Represent the Imaging Department at hospital leadership meetings and interdepartmental meetings
  • Apply the profession’s code of ethics in all aspects of practice
  • Perform additional tasks as required
Qualifications:
  • Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of Imaging Services through equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Imaging related professional certification required, i.e., ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), ARDMS, CNMT
  • Degree in healthcare administration or related healthcare/management field required
  • At least 1 year of work experience consisting of leadership and Imaging clinical roles as well as experience at a hospital/ambulatory imaging system
  • Exceptional leadership, management and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to skillfully counsel, collaborate and negotiate; inspire and build confidence in others; create alliances; obtain support and respect from diverse groups and foster an understanding and commitment to the ministry
  • Ability to adapt style and approach to match the needs of varying teams, individuals and situations
  • Extensive knowledge and experience leading and managing complex organizational change and performance improvement
  • Advanced analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills to serve as an advisory role in inspiring and initiating innovative ideas, determining strategies without guidelines, fostering innovative approaches to situations/processes/issues
  • Demonstrated proficiency and expertise to identify, evaluate and articulate operational opportunities, risks, business needs/gaps, and understand customer/stakeholder interests
