ReNew Life Recovery Services is seeking a compassionate and dependable Qualified Mental Health Professional Child (QMHP-C) to join our growing behavioral health team in Danville, Virginia.
This is an excellent opportunity for a behavioral health professional who enjoys working with children, adolescents, and families and wants to make a meaningful difference in the community.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing person-centered support to youth experiencing behavioral, emotional, mental health, and co-occurring challenges.
What You Will Do- Provide skill-building, supportive interventions, and behavioral health services within your scope of practice
- Work directly with children and adolescents to strengthen coping, communication, emotional regulation, and daily functioning
- Help clients and families work toward individualized treatment and service goals
- Participate in the development and implementation of individualized service plans
- Monitor client progress and document services accurately and on time
- Provide care coordination, advocacy, linkage, and community resource support
- Engage parents, guardians, and caregivers when clinically appropriate
- Collaborate with therapists, psychiatric providers, case managers, peer specialists, schools, and other members of the treatment team
- Participate in treatment-team meetings and case consultations
- Assist with crisis prevention and appropriate escalation when safety concerns arise
- Support continuity of care across home, school, community, and treatment settings
- Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and high standards of client care
- Follow applicable Virginia DBHDS, DMAS, organizational, and CARF requirements
- Current Virginia QMHP-C registration or qualification appropriate for the position
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a qualifying human services or behavioral health field
- 1-3 years of behavioral health experience preferred
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and/or families
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Ability to build professional and supportive relationships with youth and caregivers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently while remaining an effective part of a multidisciplinary team - Reliable transportation when community-based services are required
- Experience with child and adolescent behavioral health services
- Intensive in-home or community-based services experience
- Experience working with children with significant emotional or behavioral needs
- Trauma-informed care experience
- Family support or care coordination experience
- Virginia DBHDS program experience
- Virginia Medicaid or DMAS experience
- Crisis intervention experience
- Experience with co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns
- Experience working within a CARF-accredited organization
$27-$32 per hour
Compensation will be based on experience, credentials, relevant child and adolescent behavioral health experience, and overall qualifications.
This range is intentionally competitive for the market. Current Danville QMHP pay averages about $39,814 annually, and a current Danville QMHP posting is offering $23-$25 per hour. Indeed
