Job DescriptionThis role oversees all aspects of group programs, including meeting‑room arrangements, guestroom accommodations, food & beverage, and audiovisual needs. The Manager coordinates with planners, hotel departments, and the Director of Sales & Marketing to deliver flawless events. The position is eligible for the Omni Sales Incentive Plan and supports the Work From Home Program after 90 days of employment.
Responsibilities- Prepare event resumes ten days prior to arrival and review details in weekly staff meetings.
- Follow standard operating procedures of the Catering and Conference Services Department.
- Maintain the hotel’s market position in the city’s elite venue community.
- Handle the event planning process promptly and thoroughly.
- Plan site inspections and client visits, ensuring accurate communication to all departments.
- Achieve high Medallia scores through client rapport and visible support during conferences.
- Generate revenue for contracted rooms, function space, and catered events.
- Conduct pre‑ and post‑conference meetings when appropriate.
- Serve all current and future client accounts in accordance with hotel standards.
- Communicate banquet requests to relevant departments and ensure event orders are accurate 15 days before the event.
- Adhere to the Director of Sales and Marketing’s selling policies.
- Be available to hotel managers while on property.
- Upsell departmental revenue opportunities.
- Participate in all regular and operational meetings.
- Coordinate all conference aspects (food, timing, audiovisual, guest services, rooming, billing, transportation, etc.) as assigned.
- Flexible work hours including weekends and holidays for a 24‑hour operation.
- Excellent verbal, written, and non‑verbal communication skills.
- College degree preferred.
- Minimum 2‑5 years of catering sales or conference services experience, preferably as a manager in a luxury hotel.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other management systems.
