Due to Colwen Hotels’ continued growth and internal advancement, we are seeking a proven and talented Hotel Assistant General Manager ready to take their leadership on the road as part of our Task Force team. As a Task Force Hotel Assistant General Manager, you will step into high-impact assignments, opportunity to lead hotels through key transitions and drive operational excellence across our portfolio.
This position is based in the Greater Boston region, and candidates must currently reside in—or be willing to relocate to—the Greater Boston area.

About the Role:
We’re seeking a Task Force Hotel Assistant General Manager to join our team and provide on-site leadership support across our portfolio. This role is designed for a results-driven hospitality professional who excels at stepping into new environments, quickly assessing operational needs, and leading teams to success.
The Task Force Hotel Assistant General Manager performs short- and long-term leadership assignments throughout our portfolio. You’ll ensure operational consistency, uphold brand standards, strengthen associate engagement, and deliver an outstanding guest experience at every property you support.
This is a hands-on role — our managers lead by example, working alongside their teams to drive results. The position requires 100% travel to Colwen Hotels within our portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Provide on-site leadership and operational support during task force assignments.
- Oversee daily hotel operations in assigned departments to ensure consistent excellence.
- Deliver strong, motivational leadership and foster a professional, inclusive, and engaging work environment.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing associate training and development.
- Drive superior guest service and satisfaction by ensuring adherence to brand and Colwen standards.
- Partner with hotel leadership on budgeting, financial performance, and cost control.
- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
- Minimum 3 years of Hotel Assistant General Manager experience
- Proven success leading Front Office and/or Housekeeping teams
- Experience with Marriott, Hilton, or IHG brands preferred
- Proficiency with Fosse, PEP, Hotel key or Opera systems
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in changing environments
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (100%) to support properties across multiple states

Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000
