With our unique small ship experience on new vessels operating exclusively in the United States, this is an exceptional opportunity to become part of our shipboard management team. This engaging role is vital for enhancing guest experiences both on board and during excursions.
The Cruise & Excursions Manager acts as the main advocate for our guests, ensuring a lively atmosphere through a variety of activities, events, and presentations while also leading shoreside excursions and adventures. The position demands energy, creativity, and superb communication skills to foster guest satisfaction and enjoyment.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement exciting entertainment and enrichment programs that uplift the guest experience.
- Create memorable interactions from ship to shore.
- Engage with guests proactively through announcements, personal conversations, and activities.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of cruising regions, ports, and excursion options.
- Coordinate all logistics related to shore excursions and transportation.
- Socialize with guests during meals and events, ensuring every moment is an opportunity to connect.
- Conduct informative briefings at the start of each cruise, including safety procedures.
- Manage excursion inventory and oversee billing systems effectively.
- Monitor the performance of vendors and ensure excellent service delivery.
- Communicate regularly with the Home Office to report on various aspects of guest experiences and activities.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in hospitality, tourism, or event management is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic A/V equipment knowledge.
- Exceptional public speaking and social skills.
- A proactive and positive outlook with strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Experience with U.S. Geography is beneficial.
- Ability to engage and connect with guests consistently.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to receive feedback.
- 7 days a week onboard, with 6-8 weeks on followed by 1-2 weeks off.
- Ability to perform in a dynamic environment with various motions and conditions.
- Willingness to work long hours and assist during emergencies.
- Physical stamina to lift, bend, reach, and remain active throughout the day.
