Housekeeper - Remote

Job Description

Based in a world‑class Horizon North camp facility, the regular shift for this position is 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off, with 10‑hour workdays. Transportation is provided to the site from a pickup point. As a Housekeeper
, reporting to the Head Housekeeper and Lodge Manager, you will ensure the overall cleanliness of our facilities to the highest level.

• Conduct walk‑downs and clean 30+ rooms per day, varying with client occupancy.
• Provide full housekeeping services in guest rooms and hallways.
• Make beds and change linen weekly or as needed.
• Vacuum and dust all room furniture, blinds, and hallways.
• Wash, scrub, and sanitize bathrooms, windows, and mirrors.
• Empty garbage from all sleeping areas, including trash and recycling collection.
• Wash and fold towels, linens, and bedding.
• Load and unload laundry and linen truck and supplies.
• Maintain accurate records of all bedding allotted in the lodge, assist with inventory, and report shortages to the Lodge Manager.

• Minimum 6 months of janitorial and/or housekeeping experience.
• Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, products, and equipment.
• Preferably experience in a remote lodge, hotel, or institutional environment; commercial cleaning is an asset.
• Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a team player.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 pounds.
• Score 80% or higher on the mandatory WHMIS test (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System).
