General Manager
The General Manager is the leader of the campground and is responsible for the overall success of the property. This person builds and develops a high-performing team, delivers exceptional guest experiences, drives financial performance, and ensures the campground operates safely and efficiently.
This role is best suited for an experienced campground or outdoor hospitality leader who has successfully managed campground operations, developed on-site teams, and owned business results.
Mission of the RoleThe mission of the General Manager is to own the overall success of the Detroit / Ann Arbor KOA by building a high-performing team, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and driving strong financial results.
As the on-site leader, you will bring the campground's vision to life through disciplined execution, hospitality-focused leadership, and engaging guest programming, ensuring the property runs smoothly while creating memorable experiences for guests.

- Communicate effectively with company leadership and cross-functional partners.

Asset Stewardship:
- Protect and improve the long-term value of the campground.
- Proactively identify operational risks and opportunities for improvement.
Operational Leadership:
You can successfully lead a complex campground operation, manage competing priorities, and maintain a high standard of execution during both busy and slower seasons.

You understand that exceptional guest experiences drive business success and team pride.

You build trust quickly, set clear expectations, provide meaningful feedback, and develop strong teams.

Required Experience- Previous General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Operations Manager, or similar leadership experience within a campground, RV resort, or outdoor hospitality operation
- Demonstrated success leading seasonal and year-round teams
- Experience overseeing guest services, maintenance, housekeeping, activities, staffing, and campground operations
- Experience managing budgets, labor, and property-level financial performance
- Proven ability to create exceptional guest experiences while delivering business results
