Job details
- Salary 20.00 hourly / 40 hours per week
- Terms of employment:
Permanent employment, Full time - Starts as soon as possible
- Education:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate - Experience:
1 year to less than 2 years - Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option for remote work.
- Hotel, motel, resort
- Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
- Dust furniture
- Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
- Make beds and change sheets
- Distribute clean towels and toiletries
- Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
- Handle and report lost and found items
- Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items
- Provide basic information on facilities
- Pick up debris and empty trash containers
- Launder clothing and household linens
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Address customers' complaints or concerns
- Public transportation is available
- Fast‑paced environment
- Work under pressure
- Physically demanding (bending, crouching, kneeling, walking, lifting up to 9 kg / 20 lbs)

- Assists with immediate transition needs of Veterans (for example: relocation, housing, etc.)
- Support for Indigenous people:
- Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
- Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations
- Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers
- Support for mature workers:
- Provides staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers
- Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for mature workers
- Support for visible minorities:
- Offers mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees
- Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities
- A permanent resident of Canada
- A temporary resident of Canada with a valid work permit
