Role Description The Director of Operations is a full-time, hybrid role based in Richmond, VA, with some flexibility for work from home. This position oversees daily restaurant operations across locations, ensuring consistent execution of service standards, food and beverage quality, and guest satisfaction. The role includes managing and coaching management teams, monitoring performance metrics, and implementing operational best practices. The Director of Operations will develop and manage budgets, optimize labor and inventory costs, and analyze operational data to drive efficiency and profitability.
Additional responsibilities include supporting hiring and training initiatives, maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, and partnering with leadership on strategic planning and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Strong Operations Management skills with experience overseeing multi-unit or high-volume hospitality or restaurant environments.
- Analytical Skills to interpret financial and operational data, identify trends, and implement data-driven improvements.
- Team Management skills, including leadership, coaching, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Budgeting experience in managing P&L, forecasting, cost control, and resource allocation.
- Customer Service skills with a track record of enhancing guest experience and resolving escalated issues effectively.
- Proven experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or food and beverage industry at a senior management or director level.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives.
- Comfort with hybrid work, including onsite presence in Richmond, VA and remote coordination using digital tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
