About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and client-focused Event Catering Coordinator to manage and facilitate seamless catering experiences for events in East London . This role involves liaising with clients, coordinating menus with the culinary team, and ensuring all logistical aspects of catering are met for a variety of functions. You will be instrumental in translating client visions into successful and memorable culinary events.
This is a remote-first position, offering flexibility while contributing to the vibrant events scene in the Eastern Cape .
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding catering arrangements for their events.
- Develop and customize catering proposals, menus, and budgets in collaboration with clients and the culinary team.
- Coordinate all logistical details, including staffing, equipment, and delivery schedules.
- Liaise closely with the kitchen and service staff to ensure accurate execution of catering plans.
- Manage event timelines and ensure all catering-related tasks are completed on schedule.
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the planning or execution phases of events.
- Proven experience in event coordination, catering management, or a similar role.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and client relationship management skills.
- Strong understanding of menu planning, food service operations, and event logistics.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and work effectively under pressure.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications, including MS Office and event management tools.
