Reservations Agent - Hotel Group

About the Role

Our client, a prominent hotel chain with properties across South Africa, is seeking a diligent and customer-focused Reservations Agent to join their team based in Bloemfontein. This role is essential for managing room bookings, ensuring optimal occupancy rates, and providing excellent service to potential and current guests. You will be the first point of contact for booking inquiries, guiding guests through available options and ensuring a smooth reservation process, with a mix of in-office and remote work flexibility.

• Process incoming room reservations via phone, email, and online channels accurately and efficiently.
• Provide guests with detailed information on room types, rates, availability, and hotel amenities.
• Upsell rooms and services to maximize revenue and enhance guest bookings.
• Manage booking modifications, cancellations, and special requests according to hotel policies.
• Maintain accurate guest records and reservation details in the property management system (PMS).
• Address guest inquiries and resolve booking-related issues with professionalism and a focus on guest satisfaction.

• Previous experience in reservations, customer service, or a related field within the hospitality industry is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional phone manner.
• Proficiency in using reservation software and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage booking data accurately.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, in an office and remote setting.
