About the Role

Events and Ministry Coordinators create and provide an excellent Apartment Life (AL) experience for residents and staff in an apartment community.

Coordinators are passionate about the vision and mission of Apartment Life and combine that passion with the skills to plan excellent and engaging events, build meaningful relationships, provide exceptional communication, and demonstrate genuine care and radical hospitality.

Through these efforts, coordinators help impact the community and the lives of apartment residents.

We are seeking mission-minded, highly relational, and responsible individuals who enjoy meeting new people, planning social activities, and helping others experience God's unconditional love.

Coordinators participate in "business as a ministry" by faithfully combining excellence in business with a commitment to loving their neighbors well.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Plan and host one event each month for apartment residents, with the goal of caring for and connecting with residents, connecting residents with one another, and connecting them with local services and businesses.

Provide caring support to residents and staff with the help of residents and a network of community partners.

Encourage residents to share positive experiences about the community online to help enhance its online reputation.

Create marketing materials for activities, including monthly calendars, event flyers, and social media posts.

Manage the event budget process.

Prepare monthly summaries and reports.

Meet regularly with staff and the program director for planning, equipping, and development.

Engage a support team of volunteers, vendors, and community partners to maximize impact.

Required Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older
.

Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Have basic fluency in English to create marketing materials and complete required reports for the property management company.

Possess a current driver's license and liability insurance, as well as reliable transportation for coordinator duties such as shopping for events and connecting with vendors.

Be physically able to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, and carry up to 25 pounds.

Have availability to commit weekly hours to the role, primarily during evenings and weekends when most residents are home.

Be able to make the minimum-term commitment required to serve in the apartment community.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous event planning experience.

Experience working within a budget.

Experience using social media.

An existing network of potential volunteers, vendors, or community partners.
