As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Senior Human Resources to join our leadership team. In this strategic role, you will oversee all aspects of HR from high-level strategy to hands-on operations, ensuring our people and culture thrive. You will collaborate closely with other executives, manage and mentor our current HR generalist, and lead key HR initiatives that support our remote-friendly and globally distributed team.

Responsibilities Strategic HR Leadership:
Define and implement HR strategies aligned with MAF’s business goals and core values. Support the executive team on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent development.
HR Operations Management:
Oversee day-to-day HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, employer branding, and compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations. Ensure HR processes and policies are effective and efficient.
Remote Team Culture & Engagement:
Champion an inclusive, remote-friendly culture that keeps a globally distributed team engaged and connected. Implement initiatives for remote onboarding, communication, and team building. Develop policies that support flexibility, performance, and accountability.
Talent Development & Retention:
Lead training, career development, and succession planning programs. Foster a positive environment where team members can grow and progress. Monitor engagement and retention metrics, and drive continuous improvements to the employee experience.
HR Team Management:
Manage and support the HR Generalist (and future HR team members), providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities. Ensure the HR function delivers high-quality service to employees and leadership.
Executive
Collaboration:
Act as a trusted advisor on all people-related matters. Partner with department leaders on staffing needs, performance reviews, and change management initiatives. Contribute to cross-functional decision-making as the voice of people strategy.
Qualifications
Experience:
7+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a senior HR leadership role.
Technical Background:
Technical background and proven experience managing technical teams (software developers, data scientists, and/or other specialized roles). Nice to have: an established network/pipeline of technical candidates (e.g., developers, data scientists, etc.).Talent Acquisition:
Strong experience in recruiting, with a focus on technical profiles, including proactive sourcing and active outreach.
Process Design:
Experience designing and implementing new HR and hiring processes (end-to-end funnel), including tools, metrics, and operating standards.
Policy & Documentation:
Experience drafting HR policies, company regulations, and HR documentation (internal procedures, codes of conduct, etc.).International Employment:
Experience managing international hires and employees, including through EOR (Employer of Record) solutions.
Vendor Management:
Experience negotiating and managing relationships with staffing agencies and external HR vendors.
Italian Labor Framework:
Strong knowledge of the Italian CCNL Commercio and related local HR…
