People & Culture Coordinator K'gari (Fraser Island)

The Kingfisher Bay Resort Group is looking for a People & Culture Coordinator to drive recruitment, onboarding and administrative activities and help us create unforgettable experiences for our employees. This generalist role supports Operations and the P&C team with human resources matters focusing on recruitment, onboarding, induction, payroll, systems and compliance across the Sea Link - K'gari Group.

The role also supports internal movements, visa requirements and sponsorship, coordinating apprentices, internships and trainee ships, and serves as the face for employee inquiries, payroll, HR processes and systems for our employees and leaders. This is a Monday to Friday role based at Kingfisher Bay Resort on K'gari (Fraser Island). It can be permanent full-time (38 hours per week) or part time across the five days.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive recruitment, onboarding, induction, payroll, systems and compliance activities across the Sea Link - K'gari Group.
  • Coordinate recruitment advertising, screening, shortlisting, phone screens, selection criteria, interviewing, reference checks and visa (VEVO) checks.
  • Prepare & check employment contracts; manage job vacancies across the group.
  • Coordinate arrival of new team members and set up employees in Dayforce payroll system; provide payroll administration support.
  • Assist team members with general People & Culture enquiries and with uniforms (ordering & issuing).
  • Maintain employee files, training records and compliance; manage apprentice, internship and traineeship programs and visa sponsorship programs.
  • Handle internal movements and visa requirements; support visa sponsorship processes and respond to employee general inquiries.
  • Undertake other duties or projects as required.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
  • Generalist HR activity across a range of platforms; hands-on, able to jump in and help where needed in the P&C team.
  • Proven track record in high-volume end-to-end recruitment, with a preference for Hospitality/Resort/Tourism sectors.
  • Proficiency in modern recruitment platforms – Expr3ss, HROnboard, Dayforce (desirable but not essential).
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; strong accuracy, attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Can-do attitude and problem solver; able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and multitask.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Passion to help people and a willingness to learn and develop.
