  • This is a hybrid or fully remote position. Our corporate office is located at 7440 S. Hwy 121 McKinney, TX 75070.
What You’ll Do:

As the Labor Relations Senior Director at SRS, you will play a pivotal role in leading enterprise-wide labor relations support, guidance and training and serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on union-related matters. The position will help with any labor or associate relations issues and will provide essential analysis of labor relations and associate trends to further enhance the company culture.
  • Program Management:
    Lead the development and execution of labor relations strategy in alignment with business goals and legal requirements. Serve as chief negotiator or lead strategist in union contract negotiations, renewals, and mid-term bargaining. Build and maintain productive relationships with union leadership, union representatives, and labor counsel. Manage union election campaigns under the direction of the Head of Associate Relations.
  • Project Management and Advice:
    Strategically collaborate with HR and business leaders on complex labor relations issues, including grievances, arbitration, discipline, and contract interpretation. Collaborate closely with Legal, HR Business Partners, and Operations teams to mitigate labor-related risks. Provide support in coordinating and compiling data, reports, and communication materials needed during union organizing counter campaigns;
    Manage projects and labor relations initiatives that support the labor relations strategy.
  • Program Optimization and Implementation:
    Manage the labor and associate relations research and analysis programs and processes to determine patterns and trends and their impact on the organization, along with creating leadership level reporting on identified trends and emerging labor and associate relations concerns;
    Manage and lead the efforts in monitoring external labor activity and trends, including responsibility for creating reports for field and company leaders. Problem solve and provide strategies to field business partners to determine root cause of associate issues/concerns, drive solutions and limit vulnerability risks. Proactively drive change that leads to a high performing and positive work environment.
  • Compliance:
    Ensure compliance with all federal and state labor regulations, including the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA). Monitor labor trends and legislation to proactively address potential impacts to the organization. Support leadership development through training and guidance on labor relations best practices.
  • Legal Proceedings:
    Represent the company in labor disputes, including arbitration and mediation proceedings when necessary. Manage outside counsel cost-effectively.
  • Other:
    Perform other related duties as business needs adjust.

Requirements We Look For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
  • 6+ years of experience in Labor Relations and labor law compliance with a strong track record in negotiating collective bargaining agreements.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to build trust and influence across multiple levels of an organization.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in labor law.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
