About the Role
Vaco has partnered with a client in Carmel, IN to hire a hands‑on, high‑volume Recruiter to support hiring across a rapidly growing, multi‑location organization.
This is a highly operational recruiting role best suited for someone who thrives in fast‑paced, entry‑level environments, enjoys managing a large requisition load, and knows how to partner effectively with hiring managers who are often not desk‑based. While some professional and corporate recruiting will be required, entry‑level and hourly recruiting is the core focus of this position.
This role is onsite‑preferred in Carmel, IN (minimum four days per week) and is not eligible for fully remote work.
Key ResponsibilitiesHigh-Volume, Multi-Location Recruiting:
Manage full-cycle recruiting for a high volume of entry-level and non-exempt roles across multiple states
Support recruiting needs for 54 locations, with occasional support for corporate and professional roles (Accounting, Finance, Sales, HR, FP&A).
Candidate Flow & Hiring Execution:
Post, manage, refresh, and clean up job postings across multiple locations, many of which are continuously open.
Actively review applicant flow, prescreen candidates, and push qualified candidates forward quickly to local HR partners and General Managers.
Manage the recruiting process end‑to‑end: intake, posting, screening, interview coordination, offers, and onboarding support.
Hiring Manager & HR Partnership:
Partner closely with HR and local leadership to clarify hiring needs by location, ensure roles are advertised appropriately for each market, and keep candidates moving through the process in a timely manner.
Guide and support hiring managers through the recruiting process, particularly in operational and field‑based environments.
Sourcing & Recruiting Strategies:
Leverage a mix of recruiting channels based on role and location, including Indeed, Linked In Recruiter, and grassroots recruiting methods such as flyers, walk‑ins, schools, and community boards for remote or rural markets.
Maintain pipelines for commonly filled roles and anticipate future hiring needs.
Systems & Process Management:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the ATS to ensure visibility, compliance, and smooth handoffs to HR and onboarding teams.
Assist with onboarding coordination as needed.
Required Experience:
Proven experience in high-volume recruiting environments ideally within:
Automotive, dealerships, or auctions, Manufacturing or industrial operations, Logistics / transportation, Call centers, or staffing agencies focused on non‑IT, non‑healthcare roles.Experience recruiting across multiple locations and states.
Comfortable balancing: repetitive, entry-level recruiting work daily, along with occasional professional or corporate searches as needed.
Core Competencies:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially with field-based leaders.
Ability to assess candidates beyond resumes, focusing on reliability, work ethic, and fit.
