About The Location

At Pet Smart, teamwork and connection are core to how we thrive. This role is based at our Phoenix Home Office, with an expectation of working a minimum of four days in the office each week. In a standard work week, associates may work up to one remote “flex day” (with leader approval). Our hybrid approach is designed to foster strong collaboration while also supporting flexibility and individual success.

Overview

This role is responsible for supporting the recruiting team and overall Talent Acquisition (TA) efforts. The TA Coordinator plays a critical role in facilitating a seamless candidate experience through strong prioritization, organization, and collaboration. This position requires a solid foundation in administrative functions to effectively partner with recruiters, hiring teams, candidates, and other stakeholders, contributing to a positive and efficient recruiting experience.

What

You’ll Do
  • Coordinate Recruitment

    Activities:

    Partner with Recruiters to support all stages of the interview process, from interview scheduling through onboarding.
  • Manage Calendars & Meetings:
    Schedule meetings and complex interview panels, manage reschedules, and assist with travel arrangements as needed.
  • Candidate Onboarding:
    Process and track onboarding-related tasks, including background checks, relocation support, and new hire documentation.
  • Operational Support:
    Assist with departmental goals, process improvements, and operational tasks that enhance the efficiency of the Talent Acquisition team.
  • General Support:
    Reorder and restock supplies for interview rooms and lobby areas; greet and interact with candidates and interviewers to ensure a welcoming experience.

    Skills:

    Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain attention to detail, coordinate complex schedules, and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Effective Communication:
    Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Tech‑Savvy:
    Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is a plus.
  • Problem‑Solving:
    Resourceful and able to think quickly to address challenges and complete tasks effectively.
  • Confidentiality & Professionalism:
    Demonstrates a high level of discretion and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Team‑Oriented:
    Works collaboratively with all levels of staff and external partners.
Education & Experience
  • 2–3 years of experience in a similar role coordinating complex schedules, preferably within a large corporate environment.
  • Associate degree preferred but not required.
