We are looking for an Organizational Design Specialist to shape the structure of our workforce by crafting job profiles and career paths that drive organizational growth.
This is an onsite position located in Michigan and can be based in Holland, Zeeland, or Grand Rapids. It is not open to hybrid or remote work at this time.
Position OverviewThe purpose of the Organizational Design Specialist is to establish and maintain career path documentation and to support compliance documentation through job description management.
What You’ll Do- Maintain a system for tracking, developing and updating job descriptions.
- Coordinate with managers across the organization to define succession paths for roles through defined job descriptions.
- Manage processes for manager job description reviews.
- Educate managers on the role and importance of job descriptions and process expectations.
- Engage in workforce planning through strategic job profile definition within and across different departments.
- Ensure cross-department alignment to roles with regards to EEOC classifications.
- Support the annual EEO-1 Federal Reporting process.
- Maintain job description recordkeeping best practices and ensure access security as appropriate.
- Work closely with the Legal department to ensure all job descriptions meet legal requirements with regards to FLSA and EEO Classifications.
- Apply job description language (nomenclature) best practices and ensure consistency throughout all job descriptions.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Analytical thinking - Tackling a problem by using a logical, systematic, and sequential approach.
- Attention to detail - Ensuring information is complete and accurate; following up with others to ensure that agreements and commitments have been fulfilled.
- Project management - Applying knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to manage and meet project requirements.
- Communicating Effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey clear understanding, taking into account the unique needs of different audiences.
- Maintaining high level of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality with respect to company matters.
- Complying with all Company policies and procedures, safety regulations, company safety policies and safely perform all duties, including but not limited to, promoting a safe workplace.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, I-O Psychology, other related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 1 year of Human Resources experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience working with FLSA/ EEOC regulations.
- 3+ years of Human Resources experience.
