JOB SUMMARY

The Manager, Talent Acquisition will lead and execute recruitment strategies to attract, engage, and hire top talent for s role requires a dynamic, results-driven professional with experience in managing a full-cycle recruitment process, building strong partnerships with business leaders, and driving continuous improvement in talent acquisition practices. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the retail industry and be passionate about aligning talent with business goals.

ESSENTIAL

FUNCTIONS Talent Acquisition Strategy
  • Develop and implement comprehensive talent acquisition strategies that align with the company's business objectives for the retail home office, distribution centers, and stores.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and department heads to understand workforce needs and anticipate hiring demands.
Recruitment Process Management
  • Oversee full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring across all levels and functions within the organization.
  • Ensure a consistent and positive candidate experience from application through onboarding.
  • Identify, attract, and hire top talent for various functions within our retail organization
  • Proactively source and engage with potential candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and employee referrals.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, from initial contact to onboarding.
  • Communicate effectively with candidates and hiring managers, providing timely updates and feedback.
Team Leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of recruiters and talent acquisition specialists, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to achieve recruitment goals.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
Stakeholder Partnership
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including HR business partners, hiring managers, and external recruitment agencies.
  • Provide guidance and training to hiring managers on best practices for interviewing and candidate selection.
Employer Branding
  • Champion the company’s employer brand by developing and promoting initiatives that position the organization as an employer of choice in the retail industry.
  • Partner with Marketing and Communications to create compelling recruitment marketing materials.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
  • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within the talent acquisition process, ensuring diverse talent pools are sourced and that hiring practices are equitable.
Data-Driven Decision Making
  • Utilize data and analytics to monitor recruitment performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimize the talent acquisition process.
  • Report on key metrics, including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and quality of hire, to senior leadership.
Compliance and Best Practices
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and innovative recruitment technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience recruiting across a variety of functions, including corporate, distribution, and retail.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective talent acquisition strategies.
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive and strategic thinker with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Passionate about people and committed to driving DEI initiatives.
