Intellisense Systems, Inc. is a privately held company with a proven track record of developing and deploying innovative products that successfully operate in the most extreme environments. We are a fast‑growing Southern California technology innovator that solves tough, mission‑critical challenges for our customers in the aerospace, defense, and commercial markets. We design, develop, and manufacture advanced products for ground, maritime, and airborne applications.
We are seeking a high‑energy, detail‑oriented Talent Acquisition & HR Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This is a unique dual‑function role designed for a candidate looking to launch a career in both recruiting and human resources. You will be a "full‑cycle" contributor: sourcing your own candidates, managing agency partnerships, and identifying administrative bottlenecks within our HR department. If you are a natural "fixer" who loves people and processes, this is the perfect place to grow.
This critical, hands‑on role is based in Torrance, CA, and is not a hybrid or remote position. We offer a fast‑paced, high‑impact and stimulating work environment with opportunities for professional growth and development. Veterans welcome!

- Be point of contact for external staffing agencies; schedule intake calls, distribute job descriptions, and track candidate submissions.

- Oversee affirmative action requirements and reports filings.
- Research and introduce AI‑driven platforms and a variety of active and passive channels to identify and engage top‑tier talent.
- Track and report on key recruiting metrics (e.g., time‑to‑fill, pipeline conversion rates, etc.) to drive continuous improvement.
- Review current HR workflows (onboarding, record‑keeping, data entry) to identify inefficiencies and suggest modern, efficient solutions.
- Maintain the accuracy of our HRIS and applicant tracking systems, ensuring compliance with government contracting requirements.
- Support benefits and leave administration, as needed.
- Assist with special projects, such as updating employee handbooks, coordinating company events, and implementing new HR software modules.
- Job responsibilities within our organization are dynamic. This may not be a complete list of duties. Other responsibilities and duties may be assigned by your supervisor or upper management at any time.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- 0 to 2 years of experience in Talent Acquisition and HR.
- Superior organizational skills and ability to manage multiple moving parts without dropping the ball.
- Professional presence with the ability to build rapport with agency partners and internal hiring managers.
- A "continuous improvement" mentality.
- Proactive and capable of managing multiple priorities while adapting to changing business needs.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across departments.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional team environment, working extended hours (as needed).
- Strong self‑motivation and attitude for personal career growth, willingness to self‑learn, and work in new technology domains.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
