Job SummaryAs the Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will contribute to the Office of University Development and School, College, Campus, and Unit recruitment and talent sourcing efforts. This includes using your expertise in talent acquisition to manage the applicant sourcing recruitment process for open positions, primarily for our School, College, Campus, and Unit partners, with an emphasis on building a robust talent pipeline.
Additionally, you will provide consultative support to hiring managers as needed. You will report to the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition.

We are moving to a new building, Michigan House (2301 Commonwealth Blvd., Ann Arbor, MI 48105).
This is a hybrid position with expectations of at least two days per week in the office.

- Talent Acquisition and Talent Sourcing (60%)
- Assist in the design and placement of inclusive job advertisements, utilizing Data People.
- Conduct proactive sourcing for searches through social networking using Linkedin, Indeed, etc., industry connections, referrals, and resume databases.
- Network both internally and externally to identify potential candidates and build talent pipelines.
- Update candidate records in recruiting databases.
- Support Talent Acquisition Partners as needed, including:
- Provide proactive candidate sourcing support to Talent Acquisition colleagues to grow the talent pipeline for the various OUD departments.
- Conduct resume pre‑screening and informational interviews.
- Building evaluation criteria and forms.
- Talent Acquisition Projects & Programs (25%)
- Collaborate with your team to interview, evaluate, and hire for the Development Summer Internship Program (D‑SIP).
- Partner with the Associate Director of Talent Pipeline Programs to steward / proactively recruit D‑SIP alumni for future career opportunities with the U‑M Development Community.
- Provide support to P&C consultant on Talent Acquisition interview feedback surveys to improve the interview and hiring process.
- Talent Acquisition Metrics & Talent Analytics (15%)
- Collaborate on the maintenance and distribution of TA reports, including the Recruitment Summary Report and P&C Annual Reports.
- Represent People & Culture in university‑wide data user groups and support other talent analytics efforts as needed.
- 4 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree.
- 2+ years of experience in Human Resources or related fields (customer service, sales, marketing, etc.).
- Project management skills.
- Experienced PC user including Windows‑based software, Word, Excel, and Google Mail, Google Calendar and Google Drive.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Experience collaborating and engaging with colleagues at all levels.
