Overview

Talent Acquisition Partner – Skilled Trades is located in the Shared Services Office, Irving, TX, with hybrid work options (3 days in office, 2 from home). This role supports Meriton and its operating companies by delivering full lifecycle recruiting and exceptional service to hire top talent in skilled trades (HVAC experience preferred).

Reports To: Talent Acquisition Manager, Trades

FLSA Status: Exempt

Location: Shared Services Office, Irving, TX

Note: Hybrid work schedule 3 days in office, 2 from home

Summary

You will leverage recruiting expertise to partner across Meriton and all operating companies to hire exceptional talent and provide best-in-class service. The Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for full life cycle recruiting by using creative sourcing methods and cross-collaborating with stakeholders. The role requires independence, innovation, strong organization, and excellent communication to support a multi-brand growing business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Implement recruiting best practices to attract/top talent, build a strong employer brand, and manage recruitment resources effectively
  • Source candidates to meet job profiles and build a diverse talent pool for current and future needs
  • Conduct intake sessions with hiring leaders to set expectations and service level agreements; assist with job descriptions for role clarity
  • Utilize passive sourcing and recruiting techniques including Boolean searches, referrals, databases, job boards, social media, career events, and networks
  • Manage candidate data in the Applicant Tracking System and conduct regular data audits
  • Track key recruiting metrics (time to fill, time to hire, source effectiveness) to optimize the process
  • Analyze job requirements and develop recruitment initiatives to attract top talent
  • Provide a clear, timely, and positive candidate and hiring manager experience
  • Partner with university relations in college recruiting, including attending career fairs and events
  • Support leadership of the Talent Acquisition team and participate in research or special projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned; conduct oneself ethically and in accordance with company policies
  • Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, integrity, and strong communication at all levels
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Establish and build effective working relationships with colleagues; support diverse lifestyles and backgrounds
Education/Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of full cycle recruitment, including proactive sourcing
  • Skilled trades recruitment experience, preferably HVAC
  • Applicant Tracking System and CRM experience
  • Experience with Greenhouse Recruiting is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Work Environment and Physical Demands

The work environment is a corporate office setting with moderate noise. The role may include telework or work at home portions of the week depending on project needs and in coordination with the supervisor.

Physical Demands: Regularly lift/move up to 25 pounds; visual requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
