The Benefits Services Specialist plays a key role in supporting client companies and their employees with the administration of flexible compensation and benefits plans. This role works closely with clients, brokers, and participants to ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality service across all benefits operations.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary point of contact for client companies and plan participants
- Support renewals, plan changes, and client communications (60+ days in advance)
- Administer and support:
- FSA/DCA, HSA, HRA, QSEHRA accounts
- Claims processing and e-claims
- COBRA and benefit terminations
- Assist with new plan implementations, system setup, and documentation
- Process enrollments, rollovers, non-discrimination testing, and billing
- Manage file feeds, reporting, ACH/direct deposit updates, and audits
- Maintain client records, renewal logs, and master client data
- Serve as backup support for COBRA services as needed
- Contribute to additional projects that enhance the member experience
Required:
- 3–5 years of benefits-related experience
- Strong knowledge of flexible compensation plans and applicable regulations
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Proficiency in MS Office, HRIS systems, and benefits administration platforms
- Associate’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
- Certification in Flexible Compensation Plans
- Broader HR and benefits experience
- Remote-first role
- Must reside in North Carolina or South Carolina
- Occasional travel to assigned home office/region and Catapult locations
- Mileage to/from home office is not reimbursable
