Interim Benefits Specialist

Vaco is recruiting for a Benefits Specialist on a consulting basis!

Targeted Compensation: $25-$35/hr

We are seeking an experienced Benefits Contractor to support higher-level benefits administration functions. This is not an entry-level role. The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience in benefits and leave of absence (LOA) administration and be comfortable managing audits, employee inquiries, and case management in a fast-paced environment.

• Lead and support dependent eligibility audits (advanced Excel skills required).
• Manage and respond to the Benefits inbox in a timely and professional manner.
• Handle Workday case management related to benefits and leave.
• Process and respond to disability-related inquiries (including hours worked and eligibility questions).
• Support benefits administration tasks and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Assist with leave of absence processes (training can be provided on company-specific procedures).

• Minimum 2 years of experience in benefits administration and leave of absence (LOA).
• Strong understanding of how benefits and LOA programs function.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong skills in Outlook.
• Experience with Workday preferred.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Experience preferred over formal education.
