Job Description & How to Apply Below

Well Haven Pet Health is seeking a high-performing Full‑Cycle DVM Recruiter to join our growing Talent Team. This role is purpose-built for a recruiter who thrives in multi‑site veterinary organizations and understands the urgency, precision, and relationship required to successfully place licensed veterinarians in competitive markets.

This position is primarily remote, working from your home office, with periodic travel for meetings, conferences, engagement, and industry events.

As we continue expanding across our current markets (Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, Montana, and Minnesota), this recruiting role directly impacts hospital performance, provider capacity, and enterprise growth through strategic DVM placement.

Position Overview

You will lead full‑cycle recruitment for Small Animal / GP DVM roles across a subset of our seven‑state footprint (and expanding). This is a consultative, data‑informed recruiting role requiring strong workforce planning partnership, pipeline development expertise, and exceptional candidate experience delivery. This position must be filled by a team member living/working in one of our core states, preferably MN, WA, or NW OR.

What

You’ll Own Strategic DVM Recruitment

Drive full‑cycle recruiting for licensed DVM roles across multi‑site hospitals.

Build and maintain proactive pipelines using Boolean sourcing, social recruiting, veterinary networking channels, conferences, and referral strategies.

Develop market‑specific recruiting strategies based on regional supply/demand dynamics.

Present high‑quality, well‑calibrated candidates aligned with hospital culture and performance needs.

Stakeholder Partnership

Daily and weekly engagement with local Well Haven hospital Practice Leadership Teams (Principal DVM and Practice Manager), Medical Operations Team, and the entire People Team.

Support Practice Leadership and Medical Operations Teams with interview best practices and structured selection processes.

Serve as a trusted advisor to hospital leaders on compensation positioning, market competitiveness, and time‑to‑fill optimization.

Systems & Process Leadership

Act as a super‑user for Clear Company ATS (experience strongly preferred).

Lead training sessions and best practice education for hospital teams.

Refine job descriptions, posting strategies, and sourcing campaigns.

Campus & Industry Engagement

Represent Well Haven Pet Health professionally and proactively at assigned veterinary conferences, career fairs, and networking events.

Support Student Internship and Student Jobs Programs where appropriate.

Required Experience

Minimum 3+ years of multi‑site, full‑cycle veterinary recruiting experience, specifically recruiting licensed DVMs. (Candidates without direct DVM recruiting experience will not be given priority consideration in the first round. If a candidate is not selected, candidates with multi‑site healthcare provider experience will be considered.)

Demonstrated success placing veterinarians in competitive markets.

Experience with Clear Company or similar ATS platforms.

Strong knowledge of veterinary employment markets and regional talent trends.

Core Competencies

Highly organized with disciplined pipeline management.

Strategic sourcing expertise (Boolean, social, referral ecosystems).

Relationship‑driven with collaborative approach to communication.

Highly motivated, self‑starter focused on winning as a team vs as an individual.

Data‑oriented with comfort reporting recruiting metrics.

Thrives in fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environments.

High customer service orientation and sense of urgency.

Have FUN through your work!

Competitive base salary range $85,000 - $100,000 DOE. 401(k) with annual company match. Supplemental insurance options. Generous PTO and parental leave in alignment with state and federal requirements. Pet care discounts within Well Haven Pet Health practices.

Remote‑first campus positions require a dedicated, distraction‑free workspace for candidate and internal team interactions. Up to 20% travel for conferences, leadership meetings, and industry engagement. We leverage Microsoft Teams daily for video calls internally and externally.

Why Well Haven

Well Haven Pet Health continues to scale through a people‑first, relationship‑centered model that supports sustainable hospital growth and exceptional patient care. As we expand, our ability to attract and retain high‑quality veterinarians is mission‑critical. This role is not transactional recruiting — it is strategic talent acquisition that directly supports hospital performance and enterprise growth. If you are an experienced DVM recruiter ready to influence a growing veterinary organization at scale, we invite you to apply.
