People Operations Specialist

Fully Remote – United States (PST preferred; open nationwide)

Monday–Friday | Standard Business Hours

$30.00 – $32.00 per hour

Temporary (7.5-Month Contract | No Extension or Conversion)

The People Operations Specialist serves as a key point of contact for employees with HR-related questions regarding onboarding, offboarding, employment documentation, and general HR processes.

This role partners closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, compliant, and high-quality delivery of people operations services across the U.S., Canada, and LATAM regions.

This is a contract role covering a leave of absence and is not eligible for extension or conversion.

• Manage weekly onboarding processes including completion of employment documentation and I‑9 verification (U.S., Canada, LATAM)
• Review benefits and payroll information during new hire orientation
• Support contingent worker and partner populations
• Conduct monthly HR audits and ensure compliance
• Manage E‑Verify processes and assist with international transfers
• Participate in company‑wide HR initiatives and projects
• Provide day‑to‑day associate relations support and guidance
• Maintain and update employee records in Workday
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to support HR strategy and business initiatives

• 1–2 years of experience in Human Resources or People Operations
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving skills
• Experience with Workday highly preferred
• Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred
• Experience working in or hiring within Costa Rica is a plus
