Position: HRIS Project Manager

Join us in leading the transformation of Human Resources technology. Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate and CFO, the HRIS Project Manager will play a pivotal role in planning, executing, and delivering Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) projects that drive organizational success.
This role follows a hybrid work model, combining remote work with required on‑site presence. The HRIS Project Manager will be expected to work on‑site at designated locations on a regular basis to support key project milestones, stakeholder meetings, and system implementation activities. Specific on‑site requirements will be communicated in advance and may vary by project phase.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage HRIS projects from initiation through implementation and post-go-live support
- Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource plans
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams including HR, IT, Finance, and external vendors
- Act as the primary point of contact for HRIS project stakeholders
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues
- Manage system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and data migrations
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements
- Oversee testing, change management, training, and documentation efforts
- Provide regular project status updates and reporting to leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field required
- Five (5) plus years of project management experience, with at least three (3) years in HRIS or HR technology projects required
- Proven experience implementing or managing systems such as Workday, SAP, Success Factors, Oracle HCM, UKG (Ulti Pro), ADP, or similar platforms required
- PMP, PRINCE2, or other project management certification required
- Strong understanding of core HR functions including payroll, benefits, talent management, time & attendance, and compliance
- Experience with system integrations (e.g. HRIS to payroll systems and Meditech Expanse)
- Public sector experience is an asset
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work with a variety of stakeholders required
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment
- Experience with data analytics and reporting tools
- Knowledge of change management methodologies (e.g. ADKAR)
- Strong analytical and documentation skills
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations
- Must demonstrate commitment to ensure safety, the safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers, and visitors
