Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Employee Relations
Our HR Consultants partner with organizations to deliver compliant, practical, and business-focused HR support. This schedule friendly consulting role is ideal for HR professionals who value variety, autonomy, and meaningful client impact. Consultants serve as trusted advisors to leadership teams while executing day-to-day HR operations that strengthen compliance and organizational performance.
This position offers a flexible hybrid structure, combining remote work with onsite client support as needed.
Key ResponsibilitiesHR Consulting Services
- Serve as the HR Consultant for assigned client accounts
- Advise leadership on employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, and compliance matters
- Draft, update, and implement employee handbooks, policies, and HR documentation
- Support full-cycle recruiting including job postings, screening, interviewing coordination, and onboarding
- Manage transactional HR processes including leave administration (FMLA, state leave, ADA coordination), employee status changes, and personnel documentation
- Lead and support workplace investigations and progressive discipline processes, including documentation, coaching, and termination guidance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Assist clients in developing efficient HR workflows and scalable infrastructure
- Assist with payroll processing for assigned clients in coordination with internal payroll resources
- Help ensure payroll information is submitted accurately and on schedule
- Partner with payroll support to address employee questions and resolve routine discrepancies
- Maintain organized payroll-related records and documentation
- Handle compensation information with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3-6 years of progressive HR Generalist or HR Manager experience required
- Experience supporting or processing payroll
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance
- Experience supporting multiple business units (can be within the same organization)
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred, or ability to obtain within 1 year
