The Department of Administration (DOA), Division of Personnel Management (DPM) is seeking a motivated HR professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality HR services to serve as the Human Resources Section Manager overseeing an HR team responsible for supporting the workforce at Region 4, Department of Revenue (DOR) and Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA). This position is located at the Wisconsin Revenue Building, situated conveniently off the Beltline just five minutes from Downtown Madison. We offer an excellent work life balance and a team-oriented atmosphere. This includes the flexibility of a hybrid office remote work schedule with majority of time offered as remote. Additionally, the incumbent will have the option to occasionally travel to and work from one of the two Veterans Homes.

DOR administers the state’s major tax laws including the collection of individual income taxes, sales taxes, corporate income taxes and excise taxes. PositionSummary
The Human Resources Section Manager is responsible for administering and directing significant department-wide Human Resources (HR) service programs including recruitment and staffing activities, classification, compensation, and related survey activities for the Department of Revenue and Department of Veterans Affairs.
Primary Responsibilities Include The Following- Administration and direction of recruitment/staffing and classification/compensation activities for the assigned agencies
- Supervision and development of assigned staff
- Human resources data management

Salary InformationThis position is in the Human Resources Program Officer classification, pay schedule-range 81-02 with an annual salary of $100,880 - $107,577, plus excellent benefits
. A two-year Career Executive trial period is required.
For current and eligible former State employees, compensation will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan effective at time of hire.
