Job Summary

Provides People Soft HRIS support to Human Capital functional areas. Functions as a primary point person for regular People Soft data entry, by keying, coordinating and tracking with accuracy Human Capital data in the HRIS system. Maintains and generates reports with accuracy and within timelines, as well as assists in the daily operational issues of People Soft and People Soft implementation issues.

Education

& Experience

Required:

  • 2+ years HRIS experience, in People Soft or HRIS system
  • Experience working in a fast-paced high-intensity environment
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Proficient with Excel and spreadsheet manipulation

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business field or related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in a corporate Human Resources department
Key Responsibilities
  • Functions as a primary Human Capital staff person who performs ongoing People Soft data entry, including pay data, benefit data, and employee data.
  • Monitors People Soft system regularly to ensure data integrity by auditing data to ensure overall accuracy on employee pay, benefit data, new hire entries, position transfer activity, and position history.
  • Supports the Payroll group with end‑of‑cycle work, by auditing, confirming information, assists with reviewing benefit deductions registers prior to payroll runs.
  • Creates and updates HRIS database, spreadsheets used to track information, input forms, and People Soft processes as changes occur.
  • Develops and maintains a strong working knowledge of People Soft systems in order to effectively utilize its capabilities in each functional area within Human Capital.
  • Assists with general People Soft system administration issues, communicating with IT staff on system issues, running People Soft reports as requested, and responding to People Soft inquiries.
  • Collaborates with HRIS Analyst, Senior on IT interface for system issues and modifications. Provides input on the design of system modifications to accommodate new programs and needs. Assists IT staff with testing ongoing Oracle system patches and bundles and tax updates prior to putting in production.
  • Ensures data integrity and collaborates with HRIS Analyst, Senior on system problems, enhancements, modifications, and by establishing and maintaining necessary internal controls and performing regular audits to ensure data and system integrity is maintained. Conducts audits to ensure data integrity of employee pay and benefit information.
  • Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc People Soft reports and develops statistics using People Soft system. Modifies standard report runs as necessary. Communicates issues, trends, and process changes to appropriate Human Capital staff, line managers, and other Tri West staff as necessary.
  • Conducts analysis of HRIS data, including salary history, benefit data, new hire and position activity, and position history.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required.
