ContextYou will join our HR Operations & Payroll team in Meyrin and play a key role in a company-wide transformation focused on digitalizing and modernizing our payroll landscape. The objective is to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen compliance, and ensure greater consistency across the organization.
Following the recent externalization of our payroll activities, we are now preparing for the implementation of SAP. This represents a significant and complex transition. We are therefore seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist with a pragmatic, hands-on, and solution-driven mindset, ready to actively contribute to stabilizing current processes while shaping and optimizing the future payroll framework across our Meyrin and Trimbach offices.
MainResponsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end payroll process for multiple payroll circles in close collaboration with payroll colleagues and an external payroll provider, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance.
- Review and validate monthly payroll inputs (new hires, terminations, variable elements, absences, benefits, etc.).
- Perform monthly reconciliations and all necessary payroll controls.
- Ensure full compliance with Swiss labour law and local payroll regulations.
- Act as the internal point of contact for all payroll‑related inquiries.
- Support and guide Junior Payroll Specialists.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date employee information in Abacus and SAP
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support HR optimisation projects.
- Conduct regular data audits and support the preparation of HR reports and dashboards.
- Assist in preparing HR documentation across the employee lifecycle.
- Support cross‑functional activities related to HR processes.
- At least 5 years of payroll experience in Switzerland.
- Proven experience managing an external payroll provider like ADP.
- Strong command of HRIS systems, ideally Abacus and SAP.
- Very good level of English required for interaction with employees and colleagues;
German is an advantage. - Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Comfortable working with data, controls, and administrative processes.
