Business Internship
The Internship Program with WPS Health Solutions is comprised of two key components.
The first component involves gaining practical experience to supplement academic coursework and prepare for future career pursuits. This will be comprised of a hands‑on role within a functional area related to a relevant field of study. Each internship incorporates responsibilities and tasks which support the business objectives and client service offerings, while providing ongoing collaboration with experienced departmental colleagues and exposure to "real world" business demands.
The second element centers on exposure to corporate culture and professional development. Interns will participate in discussions focused on building soft‑skills and business acumen. This intern will have exposure to Human Resources operations across various function areas within the HR department, including supporting active HR initiatives and projects.

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22.00/hour.
The base pay rate offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Hybrid Work Location- This position will be hybrid, having the regional availability to come into our Office two days a week. Our office location: WPS Corporate Center Building - 1717 W. Broadway in Madison, WI.
- Onsite work will be tailored for team cohesion, strategy, planning and collaboration.
- Assisting in handling employee inquiries, HR processes, and providing general HR support for employees and leaders.
- Support active HR initiatives and projects specifically related to change management and review and posting of process documentation and resources.
- Managing employee personnel files to streamline processes and ensure proper organization of records.
- Participate in team meetings and provide input on current processes and initiatives.
- Are detail-oriented, organized, and enjoy brainstorming to identify process enhancements.
- Find satisfaction assisting individuals find answers to their questions and providing guidance which fosters stronger understanding of internal processes and policies.
- Want to gain hands‑on experience and exposure to human resources and the operational tasks which support a corporate human resources department.
- Hands on human resources experience with employment transactions, responding to inquiries from employees and leaders, and supporting HR initiatives and project efforts.
- Exposure to human resources software and tools, specifically UKG Pro and Service Now.
- Work closely with HR leadership, and other HR team members, learning best practices, gaining mentorship, and building a network in the human resources field.
- Be currently pursuing a degree in higher education or recent graduate.
- Have experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources or related field.

- Minimum of 10 Mbps downstream and at least 1 Mbps upstream internet connection (can be checked at )
