About the Team

At Avride, we're shaping the future of autonomous mobility. With a highly technical culture and a team of global talent, we move fast, think boldly, and build safely. As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a driven Immigration & Mobility Specialist to support our HR operations and enhance the candidate and employee experience.

About the Role

Avride is seeking a Corporate Immigration & Mobility Specialist to support our growing global workforce. In this role, you will manage U.S. employment-based immigration processes and global mobility activities while ensuring compliance with immigration regulations and internal policies.

You will serve as the primary internal point of contact for immigration and mobility matters, working closely with employees, candidates, recruiters, HR Business Partners, and external immigration counsels. You will guide employees and candidates through visa processes, coordinate documentation, track case timelines, and support travel and relocation logistics for international hires.

This role is critical to enabling Avride to attract and retain global talent while maintaining strong compliance practices and providing a smooth experience for employees navigating complex immigration and mobility processes.

What You’ll Do

Immigration Case Management

  • Manage employment-based immigration cases including H-1B, TN, O-1, L-1, OPT/STEM OPT, CPT, B-1/B-2, and PERM-based permanent residency processes.
  • Coordinate with external immigration counsel to prepare and submit petitions, applications, and supporting documentation.
  • Track visa expiration dates, renewals, and work authorization timelines for sponsored employees.

Primary Immigration Point of Contact

  • Serve as the main internal contact for employees, candidates, and recruiters on immigration-related matters.
  • Provide guidance on visa requirements, timelines, and documentation processes.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to support immigration-related hiring decisions and candidate evaluations.

Employee & Candidate Support

  • Communicate directly with employees and candidates undergoing visa or permanent residency processes.
  • Collect required documentation and information from employees, candidates, and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates on immigration case status and expected timelines.

Global Mobility & Travel Coordination

  • Support international hires and relocating employees with travel planning and logistics.
  • Coordinate flight bookings, accommodations, and travel arrangements for employees and candidates when required.
  • Work with travel agencies and global insurance providers to ensure appropriate travel and relocation coverage.
  • Manage and monitor travel and mobility budgets, ensuring cost-effective arrangements and compliance with company policies.

Immigration Compliance & Risk Management

  • Maintain accurate immigration records and documentation within internal HR systems.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. immigration regulations, I-9 employment verification requirements, and internal policies.
  • Assess immigration risks and timelines for short-term and long-term workforce planning.
  • Work with immigration counsel to identify alternative visa strategies when necessary.

Program Management & Reporting

  • Maintain immigration tracking systems and case documentation.
  • Manage immigration-related budgeting and vendor costs.
  • Prepare reports on immigration status, visa timelines, and workforce planning risks.
What You’ll Need

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing employment-based immigration programs.
  • Experience as an immigration specialist, immigration paralegal, or global mobility professional in a corporate or law firm environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing visa types including H-1B, TN, O-1, L-1, OPT/STEM OPT, and PERM-based permanent residency processes.

Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of U.S. immigration regulations and employment authorization requirements.
  • Experience working with immigration counsel and managing corporate immigration cases.

Skills

  • Excellent organizational and case management skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to guide employees and candidates through complex immigration processes.
  • Ability to assess immigration risks and propose solutions.
Nice to Have
  • Experience supporting immigration programs in high-growth technology companies.
  • Familiarity with global mobility programs and relocation management.

Candidates are required to be authorized to work in the U.S. The employer is not offering relocation sponsorship, and remote work options are not available.
