Human Resources Generalist
Our client, a Houston-based oil and gas company, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join their team. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, with work-from-home opportunities on Mondays and Fridays.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities- Talent Acquisition: Manage the full cycle recruitment process, including job description creation, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer preparation, and extending employment offers. Coordinate with recruiting agencies and management.
- Onboarding: Provide comprehensive onboarding support, including system setup, pre‑employment processes, documentation, file creation, and first‑day oversight.
- Employee Engagement: Support the annual Employee Engagement Survey process, including survey administration, feedback analysis, and developing recommendations and leadership briefings.
- HRIS Management: Maintain and optimize HR Information Systems for efficient data management and reporting, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
- Reporting & Analytics: Support HR Dashboard and other reporting needs. Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and provide data‑driven insights for HR decision‑making and strategy development.
- Compensation: Participate in salary surveys and compensation reviews, analyzing market data to provide recommendations.
- Program Support: Assist with existing programs such as Internships and Mentoring.
- Policy Implementation: Aid in the implementation and communication of new company policies, ensuring fair and consistent administration.
- Employee Support: Address employee inquiries and respond to employee needs.
- Audits: Support and coordinate internal and external HR‑related audits.
- Payroll & Benefits Liaison: Oversee timekeeping administration and act as a liaison for payroll and benefits with a sister company.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
- High level of trust, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
- Superior oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and personnel.
- Collaborative team player.
- Effective prioritization and organizational skills for efficient task completion.
- Consistency in meeting deadlines and proactive management of priorities.
- Demonstrated eagerness and aptitude for professional growth.
- Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions.
- High school diploma or bachelor's degree with equivalent HR work experience required. A degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or another business‑related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 4-7 years of professional Human Resources experience, preferably within the energy industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
Experience with Power
BI, Power Automate, and Copilot is preferred. - Experience with Dayforce is preferred.
- Experience in a multicultural environment is preferred.
- General knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and procedures, including ADA, FMLA, and EEO.
Located in central Houston.
