Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and coaching to manufacturing managers and employees on employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and labor relations.
  • Coordinate recruitment efforts, including networking with vocational agencies to attract employees with disabilities for operational sites.
  • Recruit new employees annually, including hard‑to‑fill front‑line roles; pre‑screen candidates, conduct interviews, identify position requirements, and arrange necessary accommodations.
  • Offer strategic staffing counsel to hiring managers while exercising discretion and confidentiality.
  • Supply comprehensive HR guidance to ensure Tessera’s policies, federal, state, and local employment laws are applied fairly and consistently.
  • Mentor and educate managers on employee relations matters, helping them identify appropriate courses of action and communicate effectively with employees.
  • Coordinate day‑to‑day HR and recruiting duties for the manufacturing facility, working closely with Home Office HR partners and the Recruiting Manager.
  • Develop, research, and recommend improvements to HR policies, processes, and services to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Promote transparency and proactively communicate with HR team members.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations, collaborating with legal counsel when necessary.
  • Provide counsel on complex HR matters, including staffing plans, classification, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with the Recruiting Manager and Home Office to develop job descriptions, disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, evaluations, and separation documentation.
  • Investigate, document, and respond to complex complaints, allegations, and EEOC complaints in partnership with the Home Office team.
  • Partner with the Vocational team to address performance and employee relations matters involving employees with disabilities.
  • Oversee full‑cycle recruitment, including requisitions, postings, applications, offer letters, and new‑hire documentation.
  • Develop job postings, manage recruitment channels, and represent Tessera at local job fairs and outreach events.
  • Conduct background, security, and credential checks, ensuring proper record retention and supporting onboarding and orientation processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of recruitment strategies and assist with new‑employee orientation as needed.
  • Perform ad‑hoc projects related to HR and recruiting functions, along with any other duties assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of prior experience in Human Resources and Recruiting or a related area.
  • Previous experience or knowledge in the aerospace manufacturing industry highly desired.
  • Valid state driver’s license with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
  • Capability to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access (REAL ‑compliant license or acceptable alternative).
  • Background check and E‑Verify will be conducted for this position.
