Job Description & How to Apply Below
Role Overview
As our Tech Lead HRIS, you are the technical authority who defines how our HR landscape is structured, governed, and evolved. You set technical direction, own integration and platform design decisions, and ensure the system is scalable, maintainable, and fit for a complex operational environment. Our HRIS landscape has Workday at its core and serves a large frontline workforce where scheduling, time tracking, and regulatory compliance are business‑critical.
Responsibilities- Define technical architecture:
Own the HRIS technical landscape design—integration patterns, data flows, platform boundaries, and the role Workday plays in the environment. - Drive platform strategy:
Evaluate and advise on tooling decisions, vendor solutions, and build‑vs‑buy trade‑offs across the HRIS stack. - Govern technical quality:
Establish and enforce standards for configuration, security, integrations, and system design across all HRIS platforms. - Resolve complex problems:
Act as the escalation point for high‑complexity technical issues that cross system or vendor boundaries. - Enable the team:
Provide technical guidance to functional consultants and developers. - Stay ahead of the landscape:
Monitor Workday releases, ecosystem developments, and emerging technologies relevant to HR tech. - Bridge business and technology:
Translate operational requirements into sound technical solutions.
- 6+ years of HRIS experience, with Workday as a core platform, including hands‑on involvement in complex implementations or transformations.
- Experience in broader HRIS environments—comfortable working across HR and adjacent domains such as payroll.
- Strong understanding of workforce management challenges specific to large frontline operations (e.g., hospitality, retail, fashion environments with shift‑based staff).
- Ability to operate at both architectural and hands‑on levels—able to produce an integration design and review a Workday configuration in the same week.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills; able to hold your own in technical design reviews and business requirements sessions.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in an IT‑related field.
- Fluent English;
Dutch or other Western‑European languages are a big plus.
- Learning & Development:
Unlimited access to Good Habitz and Linked In Learning. - Career Growth:
Opportunities for professional and personal development. - Work Culture:
Informal, international, and down‑to‑earth environment with 4 days in office and 1 day remote. - Innovation:
Ideas contribute to strategic projects. - Perks & Benefits:
Travel allowance, bike plan, health insurance discounts, remote work allowance, and a pension plan with 52% contribution by Basic‑Fit. - Fitness:
Access to gym at HQ.
