Position Summary
Provide a high level of confidential administrative and technical support to the Office of Labour and Employee Relations (Human Resources) in accordance with University policies and procedures. The incumbent coordinates a variety of activities including assisting with university committees, scheduling, maintaining records, and providing information to employees concerning policies and procedures.
Responsibilities- Coordinate the administrative human resources functions for the Office of Labour and Employee Relations.
- Respond to general questions concerning human resources policies, procedures, and the application of collective agreements.
- Assist with the preparation of human resources related requests and gather relevant documentation for supervisors and labour advisors.
- Follow up on grievances, letters of agreement, and other documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and files for arbitration cases.
- Assist in collective agreement redaction, translation, formatting, and documentation.
- Monitor or maintain unions’ liberation requests.
- Coordinate employee records, forms, documentation, and schedules.
- Schedule meetings, prepare agenda, take minutes, and follow up on actions required.
- Organize supervisors’ agendas and coordinate training workshops, conferences, and seminars.
- Liaise with internal units and external organizations, including government officials.
- Assess and resolve administrative problems and inform the supervisor when appropriate.
- Maintain the Labour & Employee Relations website and update the grievance database.
- Perform first‑level assessment for specific cases by contacting faculties/units for background information.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Demonstrated organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and work under pressure to meet multiple deadlines.
- Excellent customer‑service skills and the ability to provide a wide range of information and advice to internal and external clients.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Experience coordinating meetings and schedules.
- Proven professionalism and discretion when dealing with confidential information.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Written and spoken French and English.
- Minimum of five (5) years of related experience.

Knowledge of English is required;
