Regulatory Compliance Specialist, HR Generalist / Talent Management
Job Summary
The Senior HR Generalist reports to the HR Manager in the Field and provides full‑spectrum, front‑line human resources support and high‑touch customer service to operational leaders, associates, and clients in their area. The role is responsible for the day‑to‑day administration of local HR operations, supporting hiring and interviewing, onboarding and training, assisting in benefits and leave conversations, and enforcing company policies to ensure a positive associate and client experience.
Duties & Responsibilities- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non‑mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments, including safety, anti‑harassment, professional licensure, and aptitude exams.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions with account managers, collaborating with departmental managers to understand required skills and competencies.
- Implements new‑hire orientation, ongoing training needs, and employee recognition programs to ensure associate engagement and performance.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute HR programs, including compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, and occupational health and safety.
- Handles employment‑related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex or sensitive matters to appropriate staff.
- Coaches leaders through the performance management process and provides support in disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and recommended best practices; reviews policies to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Thorough knowledge of employment‑related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience preferred. Two (2) to four (4) years of prior HR experience with exposure to HR systems, benefits, and payroll. PHR or SHRM‑CP credentials are a plus.
KnowledgeComputer proficiency and technical aptitude with advanced functions of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience with Workday preferred.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds lity to tolerate moderate stress and thrive in a fast‑paced environment. ScopePerforms duties independently with minimal supervision. Determines when to partner and elevate on sensitive or complex issues. Mistakes or errors may lead to work stoppage, increased risk, loss of business, or negative customer relations.
Working EnvironmentThe majority of work will be performed in a climate‑controlled environment but may require exposure to inclement weather and varying temperatures. Work from home and on site are required.
TravelRegular local travel between sites in a designated area. Domestic travel outside the district up to 25% may be required.
CompensationAnnual base pay range: $75,000 – $85,000.
