Program Manager, HR Technology – Gartner’s HR organization

Job Overview

Reporting to the head of HR Technology, the Program Manager will organize, prioritize, and deliver Gartner’s most important technology initiatives, ensuring value creation and alignment with business strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Cultivate strong stakeholder partnerships to prioritize initiatives and deliver complex HR technology programs.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team of program managers who plan, organize, and execute transformative work.
  • Own the intake and prioritization process to maintain HR technology roadmaps and value‑realization metrics.
  • Ensure initiatives are well scoped, anticipate risks, and actively manage delivery issues.
  • Promote Agile best practices across delivery teams and IT partners for streamlined delivery.
  • Manage financials for HR Technology, including software cost, labor budgets, vendor contracts, and renewals.
  • Develop strategic communications for executive leaders and large audiences, illustrating strategy and delivery updates.
  • Establish a culture of data‑driven operational excellence.
  • Support internal operations for the HR Technology function with efficiency and simplicity.
  • Lead and support significant Workday delivery efforts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 10+ years of progressive business experience delivering transformation initiatives.
  • Strong HR Technology experience preferred.
  • Background in Management and/or Strategy Consulting preferred.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including effective presentation to senior executives.
  • Track record of solving client problems with technology‑based solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex, unstructured problems from discovery to execution.
  • Proven skill managing multiple stakeholders, ensuring alignment.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative business analytics skills, turning analysis into actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross‑functional teams across all organizational levels.
  • A bias for action, balancing trade‑offs and willingness to roll up sleeves to get things done.
  • Comfortable in a culture that thrives on feedback and continuous improvement.
