How Will You Make An Impact?
The HR Generalist III provides comprehensive HR support to a rapidly growing manufacturing site operating across multiple shifts. This role serves as the primary point of contact for employees and frontline leaders, ensuring compliance with HR policies and practices while driving engagement and operational excellence. The HRG II will coach supervisors and leads on leadership fundamentals, guide them through recurring HR processes, and assist with key activities such as onboarding, payroll, and timekeeping.
Fluency in both English and Spanish is required for this role. The ideal candidate is proactive in implementing improvements, demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
This role will be based on-site at our Salt Lake City, UT facility.
This is not a formal hybrid or remote position.
Leadership Coaching & Support
- Partner with supervisors and leads to reinforce leadership principles and HR best practices
- Guide managers through recurring processes (e.g., performance reviews, merit increases, promotions, open enrollment)
- Serve as the first point of contact for employees; conduct routine investigations and elevate as appropriate
- Assist leaders with disciplinary actions and attendance management, including terminations
- Support onboarding and ensure compliance with I‑9 and other regulatory requirements
- Submit and approve employee changes in HRIS (e.g., cost center, department, supervisor changes)
- Assist with various contingent workforce processes
- Provide guidance and assistance in regards to timekeeping
- Troubleshoot payroll issues and ensure accurate application of policies and practices
- Support site engagement activities and initiatives to foster a positive work environment
- Maintain accurate HR records and generate reports as needed
- Support system requirements for attendance and other HR processes
- Lead process improvement projects and perform other duties as assigned
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of well‑rounded HR experience, which includes strong employee relations and investigations experience
- 3+ years of HR experience supporting the hourly population
- HR experience with a contingent workforce preferred
- Manufacturing/operations experience preferred
- Or a combination of education, experience and/or training
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment law, and compliance
- Proficiency in Excel
- Exposure with HRIS systems (Workday and UKG preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting
- Excellent communication and coaching skills
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time - Flexibility to adjust schedule occasionally to support multiple shifts; this role will help over‑see roughly 900 associates (contingent and full‑time workforce) across 2 buildings on campus (and growing)
