Skilled Volunteer Recruiter (Remote Volunteer)
Passion for Life, Inc. is a non‑profit organization that helps students identify their passions and create a plan for rewarding careers. The organization seeks skilled Volunteer Recruiters to support recruitment efforts across HR, Learning & Development, Operations, and Research & Evaluation.
Job DescriptionAs a Volunteer Recruiter, you will:
- Lead volunteer recruitment efforts, ensuring we attract and retain top talent for project‑based roles.
- Screen, interview, and onboard new volunteers, facilitating a smooth integration.
- Implement and refine our project‑based staffing model, ensuring efficient placement and engagement.
- Apply HR and recruitment expertise in a mission‑driven environment while gaining nonprofit experience.
Required:
- Interest in HR, talent acquisition, or recruitment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assess candidates and match them to volunteer roles
- Detail‑oriented with organizational and time‑management skills
- Comfortable working remotely and independently
- Passion for volunteerism and nonprofit work
Preferred:
- Prior experience in HR, recruiting, or nonprofit management
- Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) or recruitment tools
- Familiarity with screening, interviewing, and onboarding processes
- Master's students in HR, Business, or related fields seeking real‑world full‑cycle recruitment experience.
- Emerging HR or recruiting professionals with 3 years or less experience looking to expand their portfolio.
- Business majors interested in talent acquisition, workforce planning, and nonprofit operations.
- Sharp, astute, and eager professionals who want to make a real difference through impactful recruitment work.
- Those interested in nonprofit start‑up experience, gaining insight into building HR functions from the ground up.
