Who We Are

Our strategy? To be anything but typical strategy consultants! Our unconventional nature is embedded deep in our DNA.

Sixty years ago, BCG shook up the world of strategy consulting. Today, it continues to be one of the world leaders in the field, redefining itself every day to give employees diverse career opportunities and the chance to impact business and society.

BCG stands for authenticity, exceptional work, and strong integrity. Once you’re part of the Group, we help you find your path, unleash your potential, effect change, and advance the world.

What You’ll Do

We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Senior Specialist (all genders) to join our team in Switzerland. In this role, you will act as a trusted HR partner, working closely with consultants, managers, and senior leadership, and collaborating across functions such as Finance, Recruiting, and the Talent Management Unit.

You will own and execute core HR processes across the full employee life cycle—including onboarding, development, mobility, and offboarding—ensuring a seamless and high‑quality employee experience. As a trusted point of contact for employees and managers, you will provide expert guidance on HR‑related topics and policies, balancing business needs with people priorities.

You will independently lead and deliver local HR projects while partnering closely with regional and global HR and Recruiting teams to drive alignment and implement best practices.

In addition, you will ensure the accuracy and integrity of HR data and documentation in systems such as Workday, and prepare and manage employee payroll data in consultation with payroll experts. You will support the local HR Lead on ad‑hoc requests, presentations, strategic initiatives, and key annual processes, including the bonus cycle.

Finally, you will actively contribute to fostering BCG’s collaborative and high‑performance culture by supporting local engagement initiatives and advancing office‑specific people priorities.

What You’ll Bring
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, or a related field, or alternatively commercial training with additional HR certification (e.g., HR Fachfrau/-mann)
  • Five or more years of experience in an HR generalist or specialist role, ideally in professional services or a fast‑paced international environment
  • Solid knowledge of Swiss labor law and HR best practices
  • Proven ability to independently manage projects and drive initiatives from concept to implementation
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in HR reporting, data analysis, and dashboard creation
  • Mature ownership mindset, reliability, and discretion in handling confidential information
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across all seniority levels
  • Structured, detail‑oriented work style with strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Fluency in German and English; additional languages are a plus
  • Proficiency in HR systems and MS Office tools (especially Workday, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Who You’ll Work With

You will be part of BCG’s Zurich‑based HR team, working closely with the local HR Lead and a small, collaborative group of HR professionals. The team typically consists of five members, plus a trainee and a working student. Together, they partner with consulting and business services leaders in Zurich and Geneva to shape and deliver the local people agenda and ensure an outstanding employee experience across all career stages.

An attractive, competitive, and performance‑based compensation package with fixed and variable components
  • Vacation and work‑life balance: 27 days of vacation per year plus options to support an optimal work‑life balance
  • Hybrid working model: A flexible mix of on‑site and remote work, supported by modern digital collaboration tools
