About the Role

We’re building a bench of client-focused recruiters who can partner seamlessly with our clients to deliver flexible, high-quality recruiting support.

You’ll be trusted to own the hiring process with minimal oversight. Recruiting projects will vary based on the client and will be assigned on an as-needed basis.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in recruiting and making an impact in non-profits and small businesses.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts, from role kickoff through offer.
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop or refine position descriptions.
  • Conduct compensation analyses and make recommendations.
  • Manage job postings and maintain accurate data in the applicant tracking system.
  • Proactively source and engage candidates, especially for hard-to-fill roles.
  • Review applications and conduct initial phone screens to assess qualifications and fit.
  • Design and coordinate interview processes, including developing interview guides and scheduling interviews.
  • Communicate consistently with candidates and hiring managers to ensure a positive experience.
  • Support offers, including compensation negotiations.
  • Facilitate background checks and reference checks.
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of recruiting experience.
  • Experience supporting small teams, startups, or nonprofits preferred.
  • Comfortable working in a remote, fast-moving, and client-facing environment.
Core Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and excellent follow-through.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Sound judgment and ability to handle confidential information.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency in application tracking systems (e.g., Zoho Recruit).
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, ).
How This Role Works

This is a 1099 contractor role, not a full-time position.

Work is assigned on an as-needed, project-based basis.

Hours will vary month-to-month depending on client demand.

You’ll work both independently and as part of the Cause Capacity team.
