About the RoleWe’re building a bench of client-focused recruiters who can partner seamlessly with our clients to deliver flexible, high-quality recruiting support.
You’ll be trusted to own the hiring process with minimal oversight. Recruiting projects will vary based on the client and will be assigned on an as-needed basis.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in recruiting and making an impact in non-profits and small businesses.

What You’ll Do- Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts, from role kickoff through offer.
- Partner with hiring managers to develop or refine position descriptions.
- Conduct compensation analyses and make recommendations.
- Manage job postings and maintain accurate data in the applicant tracking system.
- Proactively source and engage candidates, especially for hard-to-fill roles.
- Review applications and conduct initial phone screens to assess qualifications and fit.
- Design and coordinate interview processes, including developing interview guides and scheduling interviews.
- Communicate consistently with candidates and hiring managers to ensure a positive experience.
- Support offers, including compensation negotiations.
- Facilitate background checks and reference checks.
- 5+ years of recruiting experience.
- Experience supporting small teams, startups, or nonprofits preferred.
- Comfortable working in a remote, fast-moving, and client-facing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and excellent follow-through.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Sound judgment and ability to handle confidential information.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office.
- Proficiency in application tracking systems (e.g., Zoho Recruit).
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, ).
This is a 1099 contractor role, not a full-time position.
Work is assigned on an as-needed, project-based basis.
Hours will vary month-to-month depending on client demand.
You’ll work both independently and as part of the Cause Capacity team.
