Job SummaryThe Human Resources Intern supports the Human Resources (HR) Department and assists in compiling and maintaining employee records. Assist with the daily administrative operations of the HR department and interact with employees, management, and other business associates. Knowledge of company and legal employment policies, office procedures, and customer service standards is typically essential for those working in an HR Department. The HR Intern works with employees at all levels of the organization, including upper management and engineers.
This position will report directly to an HR team member.
- Responsible for daily administrative tasks of the HR Department, including filing, faxing, copying, and organizing departmental files.
- In charge of maintaining HR records and documentation, creating and distributing HR procedures, completing data entry tasks, and answering HR phone calls and emails.
- Supports employment by scheduling interviews, handling reference checks, and personnel changes.
- Provides overall administrative support to the HR department, including maintaining and processing documentation and records.
- Answer employee questions about policy and procedures and refer to specialists as needed.
- Assist in projects, such as HR events, benefits open enrollment, employee communications, and company-wide meetings.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be in pursuit of a college degree in business administration, law, human resources, or a related field.
- Experience in a clerical environment and/or previous HR experience is preferred.
Full-time, 40 hours per week. Core office hours generally fall between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Some projects may require working outside of normal hours.
Work Environment- Professional office environment.
