Learning and Development Specialist
Job Description
This Learning and Development Specialist role supports the HR Learning Manager and focuses on managing learning-related data, trackers, and administrative processes with a high degree of accuracy. The position is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with strong MS Excel skills and a genuine interest in data analytics, who enjoys working independently and contributing to the effectiveness of HR learning programs.
Responsibilities
+ Support the HR Learning Manager in the coordination and execution of learning and development activities within the HR team.
+ Create, maintain, and update Excel-based trackers to monitor learning initiatives, participation, and related HR data.
+ Use advanced MS Excel functions, including pivot tables and lookups, to analyze data and produce accurate reports for stakeholders.
+ Perform meticulous administrative tasks, such as data entry, data collection, and database management, ensuring consistent accuracy and completeness.
+ Manage and update information in Human Resource Information Systems and Learning Management Systems to reflect current training activities and employee records.
+ Compile, organize, and validate data from multiple sources to support data analytics and decision-making within the HR learning function.
+ Prepare and format documents, reports, and presentations using Microsoft Office tools to support HR learning initiatives.
+ Provide responsive and professional customer service to internal stakeholders regarding learning programs, data requests, and system usage.
+ Work independently to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain high standards of quality in all deliverables.
+ Collaborate with HR and other team members as needed to support continuous improvement of learning processes and systems.

Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience using Excel for data analysis, including building and interpreting pivot tables.
+ Background or coursework in data analytics, HR, or related disciplines.
+
Experience with Learning Management Systems and HR information systems in a support or administrative capacity.
+ Strong customer service orientation when working with internal stakeholders and learners.
+ Ability to present data and findings clearly using Microsoft Office tools.
+ Interest in building a career in HR, learning and development, or data analytics.
+ Capability to adapt to changing priorities and support multiple initiatives within the HR team.
Work Environment
This position is based in Danbury, CT, with work performed remotely during standard business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The role involves extensive use of computers, MS Excel, Microsoft Office, Human Resource Information Systems, and Learning Management Systems. The environment emphasizes independent work, accuracy, and professionalism, with regular virtual collaboration across the HR team.

This is a Contract position based out of Danbury, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
