Position: Assistant Director of Online Recruitment

Assistant Director of Online Recruitment

Department:
Ohio State Online | Online Enrollment. Reporting to the Ohio State Online Recruitment Director or Associate Recruitment Director. Responsible for shaping online recruitment strategies, leading a team of recruiters, and liaising between college and university personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction of recruitment activities for individual recruiters across assigned online programs.
  • Develop and execute strategies to sell and convert prospective students to online programs.
  • Analyze and improve the recruitment funnel, identify gaps and implement continuous improvement.
  • Train teams on sales tactics and support prospects through their enrollment journey.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators related to student recruitment.
  • Collaborate with online marketing and reenrollment teams to ensure quality leads and smooth application flow.
  • Coordinate with college partners and central admissions to align applicant experience with university processes.
  • Assist in preparing new online programs for acceptance of applications.
Required

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu.
  • 5 years in sales, recruitment, communication or related field.
  • Experience in recruiting or sales, creating a positive prospective student experience, and working cross‑functionally.
  • Broad knowledge of sales tactics, virtual selling of an expensive service product, recruitment funnel, marketing and inside sales collaboration, strategy development, process creation, and large‑organization collaboration.
Desired

Education and Experience
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8 years of experience preferred.
  • Experience in online higher education recruitment, working with non‑traditional online prospects, managing people, and cross‑level collaboration preferred.
  • Deeper knowledge and experience of relevant areas.
