We’ve partnered with a long-standing client to help them find an experienced HR Manager who wants more than just maintaining policies and processing paperwork. This is a newly expanded role created to help support a growing organization following a recent acquisition and build scalable HR infrastructure for the future.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, solving people-related challenges, and helping shape company culture. The team is looking for someone who can serve as a true business partner to leadership while building programs, processes, and systems that support long-term growth.
What You’ll Actually Do- Serve as the HR resource for leadership and employees across a multi-state organization.
- Lead employee relations, performance management, recruiting, onboarding, and organizational development initiatives.
- Support administration and interpretation of multiple union agreements while partnering with leadership on labor-related matters.
- Develop and improve HR policies, procedures, training programs, and performance review processes.
- Help drive company culture, employee engagement, leadership development, and workforce planning initiatives.
- Partner with management on hiring strategies, talent acquisition efforts, and succession planning.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, labor regulations, benefits administration, and employee training requirements.
- Participate in and help direct multiple union relationships and negotiations
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, or related field preferred but not required.
- Approximately 8-10+ years of HR experience with the ability to make decisions quickly.
- Experience with in manufacturing, industrial, mining or other operational environments is preferred.
- Strong employee relations experience with the ability to navigate complex personnel situations.
- Union experience is a plus but not required.
- Someone who is proactive, resourceful, and comfortable helping build programs and processes from the ground up.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- $85-95k DOE + discretionary bonus
- Remote role based in Billings with Travel to Dillon, MT 1 week/month
- Additional travel approximately 6-8 times per year to operating locations throughout the United States.
- Flexible work schedule with a blend of remote work and periodic on-site collaboration.
