Overview
Lead Human Resources Generalist supports the HR Director for the region in establishing and meeting professional and compliant employment practices. Acts as a liaison between Home Office programs and operational teams throughout the assigned markets.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate New Hire Orientation and approve background/MVR reporting for region candidates.
- Interpret and administer HR policies, procedures, programs, and Collective Bargaining Agreements.
- Collaborate on pay data completion and wage and hour compliance with managers.
- Investigate employee relations issues and consult with stakeholders.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal laws, updating forms, policies, and procedures in coordination with Home Office.
- Manage leaves of absence, including FMLA and state disability leaves, with Operations and Payroll.
- Maintain employee data in HRIS, processing status changes, terminations, and labor allocations.
- Leverage analytics, data, and reporting to identify ways to drive results.
- Respond to unemployment and employment verification notices.
- Serve as regional liaison for employee benefits inquiries.
- Manage workers compensation claims reporting and back‑to‑work programs.
- Handle region‑wide employee communications.
- Supervise one direct report, providing coaching and guidance.
- 30% travel within North Carolina and South Carolina to support field operations, investigations, training, and other HR initiatives.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 2‑4 years of Human Resources experience with emphasis on payroll and compliance.
- Experience in employee relations, workers compensation, and benefits.
- Knowledge of current federal, state, and local laws.
- Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Basic experience with Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office.

- Base Pay: $65,000‑$75,000.
