Human Resources Manager/Consultant

Optima Office is looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager/Consultant to support our growing clients in a hybrid, part‑time role (up to 20 hours/week) with on‑site work in San Diego County. You will coordinate your schedule with your supervisor and client, and play a consultative role in helping clients grow.

  • Coordinate hours and work arrangements with supervisor and client.
  • Provide consultative HR guidance, support and operational insights to achieve client growth.

Employment Type

Location

San Diego County, California (hybrid work schedule).

Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years Human Resources experience, including at least 5 years at a managerial or senior level.
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule and travel to client locations in San Diego County.
  • Experience with payroll and 401(k) plan design and set‑up.
  • Excellent customer service and client‑focused communication.
  • Reliable transportation to client locations.
  • Dependability and meeting deadlines.
  • Professional demeanor at all times.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Teamwork and collaboration.
  • Pass a background check and HR assessment.
  • Knowledge of California laws and regulations (FMLA, CFRA, ADA, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
  • SPHR or SHRM‑SCP certification.
  • Small business experience.
Salary

Hourly rate of $50–$65, dependent on experience.
